![]() ![]() ![]() I did Convert both disks BACK to UEFi (and set the MSI BIOS accordingly )and then try F3 at start to see if this even mattered- it didnt. So, now, how do I get back that OEM (MSI) F3 Recovery? ![]() I also used a macrium rescue Boot USB to boot Macrium, then image the BIOS_RVY to a external hard drive in case it ever becomes useful. I DID, go into DragonCenter and make a recovery UFD flash drive USB. Other than that, I converted both disks to MBR/Legacy Bios via AOMEI, īut, I noticed the F3 Recovery at startup doesnt work! I upgraded it to Windows 10 Enterprise from Home. Since getting it, i've swapped the SSD Windows was on, with a bigger one (used macrium to image everything over, put the image on the new one) It has two drives, one with windows and it's usual partitions and a WinRE recovery partition evenĪnd the 2nd, a HDD ,with nothing on it, but a tiny BIOS_RVY partition.Īs i understand it that BIOS_RVY is how the F3 option is supposed to work, to get you back to a menu in a emergency where it's like advanced system repair BUT you have a extra option to Reset to MSI factory settings - which might be worth going for rather than doing a normal windows reinstall in cases. ![]()
